David Sacolick, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Sacolick is a board-eligible Orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Sacolick attended The Ohio State University for both his undergraduate studies and medical school. While in undergrad, he was a four year member of the Ohio State University Marching Band. He was ranked in the top 10% of his medical school class and inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society. Dr. Sacolick completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at George Washington University. After residency, he pursued advanced subspecialty training in Sports Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. During fellowship, Dr. Sacolick worked with the Sports Medicine staffs for the Houston Astros (MLB), Houston Texans (NFL), Rice University (NCAA D1), as well as NASA Astronauts at Johnson Space Center and numerous high school athletes.

Dr. Sacolick specializes in complex open and arthroscopic surgeries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee.

Dr Sacolick has authored numerous peer reviewed papers and a book chapter. He has presented at local, regional and national meetings. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). Locally, Dr. Sacolick provides sideline coverage for Sidwell Friends School and Washington Liberty High School.

Dr. Sacolick enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as music, golf, running and cheering on his hometown Ohio sports teams.
